Knorr Brake Company is committed to social and community causes. We have a long track record of giving back to the communities where we live and work. Actively participating in community life – through thoughtful funding and volunteering our time to support those in need – is part of the fabric of our company. Our social engagement rests on two pillars: Local Care and Global Care. Local care covers all local activities at our sites, while Knorr-Bremse Global Care North America, the North American arm of our worldwide non-profit organization, supports more extensive aid projects within our region.

Delivering Local Care at Knorr Brake Company
Our community engagement activities are driven by the generosity, enthusiasm, and compassion of our employees across North America. Our local care efforts – to support the communities where we live and work, and to help us do our part to protect the environment – are guided by two employee-based teams:
- The Knorr Brake Company Green Team focuses on environmental responsibility, including in-house conservation efforts and environment-focused, community outreach.
- The Knorr Brake Company STEAM Committee, our newest community-focused team, focuses on science, technology, engineering, art and math activities for local elementary and middle schools within the area.
In addition, the KBC Cares Employee Welfare team is focused on delivering opportunities and events to celebrate the spirit, contributions, and camaraderie of our KBC team members.
