LOCAL ACTIVITIES OF KNORR-BREMSE ITALY

Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems Italia has inaugurated the green area of Kindergarten “Arca di Noè” in Florence. Providing quality, equitable and inclusive education and learning opportunities for all is the fourth goal of UN 2030 Agenda and we are proud to have realized, in cooperation with Municipality of Florence, the restyling of green area of kindergarten promoting the Outdoor Education. Our project, offers children aged 0-3 the opportunity to feel part of the environment that surrounds them, to explore it, to respect it, and enjoy the flow of time and the season. Thanks to new sensory areas, herb gardens, labyrinths, and didactic gardens children will stimulate their innate curiosity and will develop their skills and make every day new discoveries. Growing better youth – uniting children with nature!

There is still a lot, far too much, litter on beaches. As a result, over 90 employees, were involved in the cleaning of San Vincenzo Beach along Tuscany coast during the Knorr-Bremse Day. Five quintals of waste, mainly plastic, collected in only two hours.

Dynamo Camp 2016

Dynamo Camp is a recreational therapy camp, the first in Italy specially structured to host sick children, in therapy or in the post-hospitalization period, free of charge for holiday and relaxation periods with their family. Our employees spent the Knorr-Bremse day as volunteers for little maintenance activities and for some workshop concerning collaboration and personal growth.

After two years of stop due to the pandemic we finally came back to EXPO Ferroviaria in Milan. We presented a wide range of system solutions, for example low-noise braking system.

We had the pleasure to host the transport minister of Italian Government, Paola De Micheli, in our location. We showed our reality thanks to a company tour ended with a meeting with all the employees.
