The «DAC DAY» - a pioneering industry initiative.

The Digital Automatic Coupler (DAC) is the enabler for the future rail freight transportation. Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems Schweiz AG and PROSE AG are initiating the «DAC DAY» on 27th June 2024 as a call from the Swiss railway industry.

The Digital Automatic Coupling (DAC) enables freight cars and their electrical and pneumatic connections to be connected automatically without manual intervention. The EU research and innovation project "Europe's Rail Joint Undertaking" for rail transport, with the Flagship Area 5 (FP5) TRANS4M-R, is focused on the future of rail freight transportation and thus also on digitalization and automation. The enabler for this is the DAC, which Knorr-Bremse is driving forward in the EU rail context as well as other digital solutions for an even faster & more flexible freight transport.

In Switzerland, politicians, authorities, operators, industry and associations are on the way to positioning rail freight transport systems in a modern and competitive position in Europe's GreenDeal. Knorr-Bremse and PROSE invited you to the free «DAC DAY» symposium. The participants were able to hear from various stakeholders and their views on the transformation of rail freight transportation in the morning and were part of the discussions at the individual theme kiosks.

Thank you!

We would like to thank all participants and our partner PROSE AG for their great commitment and valuable contributions. Through your cooperation you have contributed significantly to the success of the event!
