Local Activities in China.
With the business development in China, Knorr-Bremse RVS China activily gives back the community to fulfill our social responsibilities by carrying out Global Care and Local Care programs.
Supported by non-profit organization Knorr-Bremse Global Care, our activities all revolve around giving back to the society. The team of Knorr-Bremse RVS CN Global Care and Local Care is made up of the volunteers from all RVS sites in China. Our goal is to help the people in need and also to engage our employees by implementing social activities locally.

Responsibilities Global and Local Care Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems China
From 2019 to 2020, Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems China has funded and completed the playground reconstruction project of Maiji Central School in Tianshui City, Gansu Province, helping children and adolescents in seven villages of Maiji Town to improve the educational environment, so that local children have better educational and exercises condition and receive better compulsory education.
From 2015 to 2016, Knorr-Bremse Global Care completed the project in Jiaqiao Town of Taoyuan County, Hunan Province.
2.3 km of cement road, 4 dams and a reservoir were built for the local people, and households tap water was connected to the residents. 268,000㎡ of farmland was irrigated, which benefited more than 3400 people.
To implement steady growing with Knorr-Bremse value and sustainable development, Knorr-Bremse Suzhou shows great cares for the employees and the society. In the kids' center, the courses are specially organized for 3-6-year-old kids to inspire their interesting on Arts, Music, foreign languages, etc.
Concern for the autistic children has always been a special charity program of IFE-VICTALL local care project.
'My Engagement with Animals’–which was sponsored by IFE-VICTALL and organized by Hand-in-Hand Kindergarten took place in Qingdao Wildlife World. More than 140 people, including the autistic children from Hand-in-Hand Kindergarten along with their parents, the teachers from the rehabilitation center as well as the local care volunteers from IFE-VICTALL, participated in this activity.
In Beijing, as one Knorr-Bremse Local Care team, Knorr-Bremse Nankou and Knorr-Bremse Daxing have been doing the “Sun Village” Project as a local care project since 2010. Euro 3000 has been donated to "Sun Village" as the annual physical examination cost for children and coal cost for the winter warm-keeping.
Second handed cloth and books donated by Knorr-Bremse's employees were sent to "Sun Village" regularly.
Knorr-Bremse donated Euro 20800 for two Strawberries greenhouse in "Sun Village" and have supported entire living cost for 14 children in Sun village. 50 cherry-apple trees were donated to "Sun Village". Volunteer's Day is organized in "Sun Village" on regular basis.
Knorr-Bremse Nankou and Daxing has donated Euro 15,250 for improving the living conditions of the patients at Beijing Chaoyang Mental Health Facility through site renovation, including:
- Construction of a recreation center
- Renovation of sanitary facilities
- Renovation of sleeping area
Employee volunteers from Knorr-Bremse Nankou and Knorr-Bremse Daxing helped the facility to brush the walls and update the bedstead.
