Protecting your personal data is very important to us, so Knorr-Bremse Systeme für Schienenfahrzeuge GmbH (henceforward: “Knorr-Bremse”) processes your data in compliance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data privacy, data protection and data security legislation.
This Privacy Notice explains how and why we process the personal data we ask you to provide when you register to receive our customer magazine INFORMER and other marketing information. In all other respects, the privacy and data protection notices on our website apply.

What do we process your personal data for, and on what legal basis?
We use your contact details exclusively for the purposes of sending you our customer magazine INFORMER either by postal mail and/or by electronic mail and, where you have given your consent, of sending you additional marketing information by email.
Company name is not required.
The legal basis for processing your data is your consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) point (a) GDPR.
Who do we transfer your personal data to?
We use internal and external service providers (“processors”) to provide and process the subscription form and send out the customer magazine to subscribers. Otherwise, we do not pass on your data to any other third parties and, in particular, do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Union.
When do we erase your personal data?
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in all our emails or, if you are a postal mail subscriber, by sending an email to informer.muc@knorr-bremse.com.
Once we have processed your request to unsubscribe from our newsletter, we will delete your personal data from our database in accordance with GDPR requirements.
What rights do you have?
According to the GDPR, as a data subject you have the right:
- to request that we confirm whether or not Knorr-Bremse processes your personal data and, if so, that we provide you with full details of the personal data processed by Knorr-Bremse and how this data is processed,
- to request that we rectify any inaccuracies in your personal data processed by Knorr-Bremse,
- to request that we erase your personal data processed by Knorr-Bremse,
- to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data by Knorr-Bremse,
- depending on the relevant legal provisions, to request that we transfer your personal data to you or a third party in a structured, machine-readable format and/or
- to object to the processing of your personal data by Knorr-Bremse.
You are entitled to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. Please note that revoking your consent does not affect the legality of any data processing carried out on the basis of this consent before you revoked it.

In Bavaria, the competent supervisory authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht – BayLDA).
