Knorr-Bremse is committed to social and community causes and has a long track record of engagement in social programs.
It is part of who we are as a company to participate in community lige, to have a positive impact on the social environment at our locations, ant to support people in need. Our social commitment rests on two pillars: Local Care and Global Care. Local Care covers all local activities at our sites, while the non-profit organization Knorr-Bremse Global Care supports longer-term and more extensive aid projects worldwide.

Knorr-Bremse Local Care
The Local Care projects are financed by each site and aim to help the community in which each unit is inserted. In Brazil, our projects range from environmental protection to social development.
The protection of wild animals and the encouragement of education are part of Knorr-Bremse Brasil's DNA.
Knorr-Bremse Global Care
Knorr-Bremse Global Care is an independent, non-profit organization that supports people in need in the vicinity ot he Company's sites and aroud the world. The tow main priorities of Global Care's funding activities are WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) and education. Through these priorities, Knorr-Bremse Global Care is also contributing towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation. In addition, Global Care provides emergency aid to locations hit by major disasters, regardless of whether or not they are in the coutries os its priority projects.
